Why do non-profits organizations need to fundraise? 

One of the requirements of federal grants is matching funds.  These funders need to see that the projects they are supporting are also supported by the local community.  The local community mean you.  The county government, the municipalities, and the state of Wyoming all provide support but without the people also supporting Fremont County Alliance these funds would cease to exist.  One of the ways anyone in the public can support the families of Fremont County that are experiencing violence in the home is to purchase and donate local gift cards.  For that family that is starting over several $5.00 gift cards from Smiths or Wal-Mart or any other grocery supplier could really make a difference, and if ten people donated a $5.00 gift card, together this could really have an impact in someone's life with the added benefit of proving that we support having a domestic violence program and are committed to making a difference in our community.
