Meet the Alliance Staff
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Sydney
director@fcafvo.org
I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Master's degree in Sociology with a focus on Gender. Prior to working here at the Alliance I was an advocate for the Albany County SAFE Project for 5 years. My passion and dedication to this work is driven by my deep desire to see domestic violence and sexual assault end.
This is a fight we are all involved in as human beings, the abuse of one of us is the abuse of all of us, which means it is all of our responsibility to help end domestic violence and sexual assault.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR:
Donna
associate@fcafvo.org
I have been with the agency since October of 1998 withstood the many agency name changes, the various staff members who have walked through it’s halls, and helped hundreds of clients who came to their door. I have held almost every position available at the Alliance, making her the ultimate expert in pretty much everything.
I am a lifelong resident of Fremont County and graduated with a degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.I started out like many in her field with a passion for the issues surrounding domestic violence due to her past experiences as a survivor.
My desire is to be a mentor to those just entering the field and a supporter to those who have been in the field as long as I have while ultimately helping our clients to achieve a violence free life.
SHELTER COORDINATOR:
Kathy
shelter@fcafvo.org
Kathy is one of a kind. She joined the Alliance team in the Fall of 2015. She has a background in mediation and conflict resolution, both of which make her an incredible asset to our team. In addition to her interpersonal skills, Kathy has a deep appreciation for the Arts. She has led and participated in numerous performance groups including Poets, Rogues, and Troubadours, and she has created her own skincare line.
Her eclectic background has brought a new perspective to our work and has made her a powerful leader in our shelter facility.
LANDER ADVOCATE:
Chirsty
ladvocate@fcafvo.org
Chirsty began her work with the Alliance as an Intern. She has been working on her degree in counseling and is remarkably kind. Her educational background has been focused on helping others which made her a great fit for our team.
VOLUNTEER & OUTREACH COORDINATOR
I have been with the program since February of 2017. I started here as an AmeriCorp member, served two terms, and then stayed on as a staff here at the program. I spent much of my life working in healthcare, but always felt a draw towards social services and helping people. I am so thankful to be a part of this team, and love serving our clients and providing outreach for our agency.
